Penny Strack hosted Coffee Time this month.

The Safari group met at the Georgetown Library for White Elephant Bingo, followed by lunch at Laurie's.

Jan and Patricia hosted their last Girlfriends event at Jack Allen's and introduced Pat Beachy who has agreed to take over the group.

Caring Hands decorated 124 placemats to be delivered to Meals on Wheels. They will be added to their client meal deliveries.

Potluck met at Heather Leiterman’s Monday (Sept 12th) for a delicious meal of Cod with blistered Cherry tomatoes. Leslie Dryska- who hasn’t been able to join us for a while- was able to attend. We had a great time catching up with each other and visiting!

No one but I had been to Freda's Seafood Grill before. Asked how I knew about this "find", located a stone's-throw from Lakeline Mall, I told attendees Heather, Hope, Lindy, Melba, Melinda and Patty the story. WAY back in 2014, when I was Safari leader, I led a Safari to Balcones Canyonlands Preserve for a peak-season Monarch Butterfly talk and walk. I had googled and googled to find a "nearby" place to take the group for lunch after; and that's when I found Freda's. All of us had one of their $6 Happy Hour margaritas (Melinda's was with rum!). Most of us ordered off their Happy Hour menu (Sun thru Thu) which included Shrimp Quesadillas, Fried Shrimp and quite a lot more, including Fried Pickles, which some of us tried for the first time; all enjoyed their food

Our September luncheon was our first event at our new location, Brushy Creek Community Center. A large crowd of smiling faces attended! Carrie Berry of Williamson/Burnet Meals On Wheels spoke about that organization's programs and how to volunteer. After lunch, Carole Stockton of Hawaiian Kona Isle Dancers taught Maureen a few moves, then led the group through a few routines. See Jan Colinsky's video of "Tiny Bubbles" here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11aSU2HMCbV_L-cUueeQR6Xf8d9RXQtv_/view?usp=sharing

After a long COVID hiatus, Chill Scrabble had is first meeting at their new location - The Anchor Bar in Round Rock.

Board Members at this month's meeting donned Hawaiian leis to discuss the upcoming general meeting theme: Getting To Know You. The program will feature Hula Dancers.
