I hope you all had a wonderful summer filled with everything that makes your hearts sing!

It’s now time to start gearing up for another year of serving the communities in which we live. That means it’s time to start collecting!

Pill Bottles: Yes, we all have them. So, when you finish a bottle, remove the personal information and put it in a bag to be brought to the OCTOBER luncheon. They will be donated to the Williamson County Animal Shelter. When animals are adopted and/or fostered and on medication, the shelter sends the required medication home with the fur parents in donated pill bottles.

Hygiene Kits: We would like to create hygiene kits to be distributed to schools, shelters, hospitals and crisis centers throughout Williamson County. In order to do this, we need your help. The amount we collect will determine if this is feasible to do. Please start bringing in any of the items from this list at any time. The more we can collect, the less money we will need to spend from our budget. I will “happily” store everything (my husband, perhaps, not so much) and determine a date for assembling the kits.

Supplies:

  • 1 gallon Ziploc bags
  • Bar of Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush
  • Pocket Tissue and/or wipes
  • Small brush/comb
  • You are welcome to add other appropriate items to the bag (examples: non-perishable food items, small game or book, sunscreen, ChapStick, body wash, etc.)
  • Please use full-sized items (NOT travel size)
