“The garden reconciles human art and wild nature, hard work and deep pleasure, spiritual practice and the material world. It is a magical place because it is not divided.” —Thomas Moore
Let me tell you about the Gardening Gals of New Neighbors of Greater Round Rock. I personally do not have a green thumb but I love tinkering in the backyard. I also love flowers of all sorts. This group sounds like a lot of fun!
Did you know that female gardeners are called gardeners? It is not a gendered word. However some ladies refer to themselves as a gardenerette or a gardengal. I like gardengal!
If you are a gardener, a phytophile, have a “green thumb,” or simply love being outdoors, consider joining the Gardening Gals group. They take turns hosting monthly meetings and sharing their own gardens and plants with other members, normally on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:00pm. They have programs and discussions about topics relating to gardening and horticulture. They plan visits and tours of local nurseries, botanical gardens, and other lovely locations. They also attend special gardening events in the area.
