A sorority sister invited me to the May 2021 luncheon in Old Settlers Park - our first luncheon since COVID restrictions were eased. Do you remember how cold it was that day? But we were so excited to be together we braved it! I joined RRNN that day.
A few weeks later I went to breakfast and two kind souls, who have become wonderful friends, took me under their wing and taught me to play canasta. A whole world opened! I joined Needle Arts and met women with similar interests. And at every meeting and get-together I met a few more kindred spirits.
I am so thankful my friend invited me initially, and so thankful for the kindness so many women have shown me in welcoming me to Texas! I consider the Round Rock New Neighbor gals to be my community and know that my life is fuller because of them.
